There was a time when Airdrie was little more than a pee stop on the road between Calgary and Edmonton. But with service in the burgeoning burg of Calgary consistently sucking the big one, more and more urbanites are happy to make the short trip for a genuine smile and a fair price.
There's no secret formula or magic Voodoo spell that makes Airdrie Dodge Jeep a better place to buy a vehicle – just good people. To help honour those longstanding employees that make the dealership great, Kinetic developed a series of employee recognition posters based on a movie poster theme.
AREVA
Industry trends, environmental messages, operations updates, employee events, community involvement... As one of the leading uranium mining companies in the world, AREVA Resources has no shortage of news to share with stakeholders and employees. The question was how to deliver that information with enough clarity and style to inspire people to read it.
AREVA engaged Kinetic to redesign Communiqué, their corporate newsletter. Kinetic fused vibrant colours with a streamlined editorial flow to energize the publication's visuals and spark increased readership.
BUTLER BYERS INSURANCE
Whether it's an earthquake, tornado, flood or gargantuan rampaging Japanese monsters, insurance is an important line of defence protecting you, your loved ones and belongings from all kinds of disaster.
As one of the longest running and most trusted insurance brokers in Saskatchewan, Butler Byers Insurance are paragons of prairie property protection. Vehicles, houses, health – they do it all with a smile. To help them showcase their expertise and abilities, Kinetic created a purdy new website, which blends an air of professionalism with the friendly, personable nature Butler Byers is known for.
CERVUS EQUIPMENT CORPORATION
Nothing runs like a Deere, or so we've heard. And thanks to Kinetic, nothing surfs like a Deere either. Cervus Equipment needed a better way for customers to browse inventory and connect with their two John Deere dealers – Farm & Garden Centre and Agro Equipment. Beefing up their web presence was a big priority and, what a coincidence, that's one of our specialties!
Kinetic crafted a clean, iconic new web design. The sites blend recognizable John Deere flavour while creating a unique, consistent brand identity for the two dealers. Fusing effortless navigation with an in-depth equipment search and inventory tracking system, the new sites make it easier than ever for customers to find what they're looking for.
EARTHWORKS EQUIPMENT
What happens when you combine the power of three of the biggest names in heavy equipment? No it's not Captain Planet, it's Bobcat Kubota Doosan of Saskatoon. Looking for a new, simplified name and image to allow for expansion and to better represent the diversity of brands and equipment they sell, Bobcat Kubota Doosan found themselves on Kinetic's doorstep.
Along with a memorable, impactful and relevant new name, EarthWorks Equipment received an iconic logo and colour palette. Kinetic also helped roll the new brand out into collateral materials, such as business cards, letterhead and envelopes. Now, thanks to Kinetic, EarthWorks has a brand that everyone can dig.
GREAT WESTERN BREWING COMPANY
Usually when the boss is gone, it's time to break out the beer bong and party down. But for this local Saskatchewan brewery, long-time CEO Ron Waldman stepping down was more of a sober occasion. Great Western Brewing Company contracted Kinetic to help honour Waldman and his time at the top, and welcome Michael Micovcin, the man tasked with filling his shoes.
In addition to writing and distributing media releases and helping to organize a press event to announce the change, Kinetic created a series of thank you and welcome ads. We also planned one heck of a celebration in honour of Ron's long reign at the top.
HILTON GARDEN INN
OUTTABOUNDS & MOMENTUM
Hitting a youth audience often takes a bit of an edge. When was the last time you heard a teen complain of having their delicate sensibilities bruised? When the owner of outdoor outfitters Momentum and Outtabounds came knocking with a jacket promo to sell, we pulled out all the stops.
As it turned out, a few of those stops should have been left in, since our first spot proved a bit much for the station's delicate sensibilities. We did, however, end with two angles to the same campaign that ultimately struck home with the business' two distinct audiences: the youth who crave the brands, and the wallets – err, adults – who pay for them.
POINT OPTICAL
Without good vision, everyday life can be a lot more difficult, and Japanese movies make even less sense. As one of the most trusted purveyors of quality eyewear in Saskatoon, Point Optical's business is all about helping people see better (and making them worth seeing too).
Getting online was the next big step for Point Optical in growing their business. Kinetic designed a site from scratch that showcases their unique style, huge selection and ridiculously friendly customer service. Now people from all over the interwebs can feast their eyes on the awesomeness that is Point Optical.
POTASH CORP
Sponsoring a major musical event is definitely something worth singing about. As the official agency for the 2011 Saskatoon Blues Festival, Potash Corp asked Kinetic for their assistance in developing a sponsorship ad for the festival.
A company dedicated to fostering growth (both in the soil and in the mind), capturing the essence of PotashCorp's giving character was essential. Kinetic designed a simple yet impactful ad to share their message of nurturing and growth with blues lovers across the region.
Q LINE TRUCKING
Most people have enough trouble with a 15-minute commute on four wheels. Imagine doing it with 18 wheels, all day every day. If you’re Q-Line Trucking, one of the biggest, most respected trucking companies in Western Canada, it's all in a day's work.
To demonstrate why Q-Line is the place to be if you're a driver, Kinetic created a series of recruitment ads to reach drivers where they spend the most time: on the road and in the loo. The ads focussed on one of the biggest differentiators between Q-Line and the other the riff raff – more time at home.
VAUGHN WYANT AUTOMOTIVE GROUP
The Vaughn Wyant Automotive Group is one of Canada's largest privately owned automotive dealership groups, with facilities in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Kelowna, Vernon and Maple Ridge. Kinetic has been the only agency of record for VWAG and is responsible for every facet of its marketing.
We've created materials ranging from TV, radio, outdoor, print and direct mail to online ads, websites, email blasts, social media strategies as well as branding and point of sale materials. Kinetic's role is to establish VWAG as a pre-eminent force in the Canadian auto industry.
